JAMB updated cut-off mark for 2020/2021 admissions
The Registrar, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board(JAMB) Is-haq Oloyede, during the 2020 policy meeting had disclosed that the board (JAMB) has approved 160 as cut-off mark for 2020/2021 university admissions.
He further added 'that the board has approved 120 as cut-off marks for Polytechnic and 100 for College of Education instititions nationwide'.
In his statement, he cautioned tertiary instititions not to charge above the normal price for screening which is N2000 only.
The Registrar revealed that candidates waiting for admissions will also be considered for admissions when they do the proper uploading of their result on its site.
This led out when he disclose in his note that out of 1,157,197 candidates who sat for the UTME exams in 2019,only 612,557 of them where admitted.

Arrangements for the 2020/2021 admissions where on deck as the Minister for Education, Adamu Adamu has directed Tertiary instititions to proceed with the conduct of their admissions followed by the board (JAMB) guidelines;as further revealed during the meeting.
The Minister in is remark urged tertiary universities and JAMB to place consideration on candidates with previous years Senior School Certificate Examination and other qualifying results, for admissions.
